Lock Screen Background

As we know, the default Lock Screen in Kali Linux is the blue wallpaper with the white color dragon.
By the default, there is no way to change it at the Settings area. But, there is a way…..

[LETS MAKE IT WORK]

#1) Log into your user & navigate to:
tux@kali:~$ cd /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme
tux@kali:~/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme$ ls
*Let’s locate the file “KaliLogin.png” by the command*
tux@kali:~/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme$ ls |grep KaliLogin.png
*Let’s delete the KaliLogin.png file by the command*
tux@kali:~/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme$ sudo rm KaliLogin.png

#2) Open a new terminal tab, navigate to your photo location & change your photo name to KaliLogin.png by the command:
*Let’s assume that your photo is in the Pictures folder & your photo’s name is test.png*
tux@kali:~/Pictures$ sudo mv test.png KaliLogin.png
*Now, your photo has a new name (KaliLogin)*
*Let’s copy the new photo to theme folder*
tux@kali:~/Pictures$ sudo cp KaliLogin.png /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme
*Let’s go back to theme folder & type*
tux@kali:~/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme$ sudo xdg-open KaliLogin.png

*This is your new photo?, If yes, lock your screen & enjoy 🙂
