OpenVAS is a part of Kali’s tool, we just need to enable it
[How to install OpenVAS]
#1) Open termianl & type:
assault@kalivm:~$ sudo openvas-setup
#4) Browse to https://127.0.0.1:9392
#5) Type the UserName & Password
*The UserName is Admin, the password popped up after the OpenVAS install progress.
The password should look like this: 6bddf7ea-5d07-428d-a686-876aeb1686ad (for example).*
DON’T FORGET TO SAVE YOUR ADMIN PASSWORD IN A SAFE PLACE & CREATE AN ADMIN USER FOR THE NEXT LOGIN.
If there are no any results from your target, maybe the setup progress is not finished successfully (it’s happens on a VMs in most of the cases).
To check it out, open termial & type:
assault@kalivm:~$ sudo openvas-check-setup.
In most of the cases, these 2 commands, will solved the issue.
assault@kalivm:~$ sudo openvas-nvt-sync.
assault@kalivm:~$ sudo openvas-scapdata-sync
These 2 commands above didn’t helped you? And still no results?
Open terminal & type:
assault@kalivm:~$ sudo openvas-setup (again)
Forgot your Admin password?
Open termial & type:
assault@kalivm:~$ sudo openvasmd –user=admin –new-password=123
